A project of passion and a little madness

For 11 years, I commuted early each morning from Noordhoek to the Cape Town Waterfront. Along the way, I saw countless breathtaking sunrises. Rain or shine, the light always offered something extraordinary—something that made me want to stop and take it in.

Eight months after leaving the corporate world, I chased a long-held dream: to capture 52 weekly sunrises from the same spot on Ou Kaapse Weg.

It took two years, over 4,000 photos, and many early mornings to complete. These are just a few of them. The experience brought joy and memories that will stay with me forever.
